5. Time to Think

Any time I have free time, even as I lay in bed at night, I have to listen to something. Otherwise my mind has time to wander, and it finds its ways into moments as a child where I said something dumb, or to those days in the recent past where I made a fool of myself, or worse. If I have nothing to drown it out, my mind wanders in search of the darkness that I thought I had let go, and brings up everything I don’t want to be reminded of.
